Oh where do I begin? In middle school, I ate up the Sweet Valley Twins series... In high school, I devoured Sweet Valley High... and I read a few SVU books, but not enough for them to have made a lasting impression.I feel a deep connection with the Wakefield twins (cheesy much?). In all seriousness it's as if we grew up together! So you can imagine my absolute enthusiasm, bordering hysteria (it's the anxiety) when I found out about this new installment of the legacy that is Sweet Valley. Reading this book was a bit surreal for me. I idolized Elizabeth and Jessica throughout my childhood, trying to see them as adults was difficult. There was a TON going on in SVC, it's been TEN years- what do you expect? Initially, I was thoroughly disgusted with Jessica for the choices she'd made and the woman she'd become. Then as per Sweet Valley tradition she redeemed herself little by little.I can't give too many details, because every detail matters and I'll spoil the whole book for everyone! I'm not sure if readers new to Sweet Valley will be taken with this book... because I know that if it wasn't for my insane overt loyalty to this series and feeling like I was the long lost BRUNETTE triplet... I would've been breaking for over-priced coffee and a trip to the shoe store.I truly did love this book, but I can't honestly say that I would have loved it as much without all the history behind it. Does that make sense????
