Anathema (Cloud Prophet Trilogy, #1)

Anathema - Megg Jensen I am literally ashamed that it took me so long to read this book! I was completely consumed by Anathema from beginning to end. This story begins on Reychel's 15th birthday, the day she shall be forever branded as the property of her owner. It is also the day her best friend disappears in the middle of the night- kidnapped while Reychel lay asleep right next to her.She is taken to the dungeon after her master, who has always favored her over the other slaves, was offended by a story she has told him. In the dungeon she sees a cloaked man, that NO ONE else seems to be able to see... the cloaked person tells her to RUN when the time is right.Reychel escapes within moments of being marked with the symbol of a fox. The cloaked man- turns out to be a GIFTED woman... and from there YOU WILL BE AMAZED!I could not put Anathema down! I read it in between baths- naptime, making dinner... then stayed up until 2am because I HAD to find out what happened! Anathema is such a powerful read, and totally hasn't gotten the recognition it deserves. This book belongs alongside the best! Meg Jenson is amazing and I cannot WAIT to read the rest of this series!Favorite quote: "You claimed me from the moment I first saw you." ~MarkYeah... Total SWOON.
